By repeatedly getting feedback from several individuals on the illustration of this double page spread as well as working on it to refine the page and making sure that it has a professional outcome, I have finished the page and I am happy with the outcome (as displayed below).
The final adjustment that I have made to this page is the refinement of the colour contrast against layers and adding in the type that I decided upon on the previous double page spread that I produced. I loved how this looked on this illustration because of the distinct juxtaposition against the background as well as having the variation between two type faces within the sentences, making it visually look more exciting for the target audience as I understand that the narrative is quite boring and tackling a subject that they wouldn’t necessarily be interested in. Thus, with the typography gripping the narrative and pushing the progression of the illustration to flow between both pages, I think that it works well as a double page spread and captures the mood that I was going for. Adamantly, it is quite dark and dense, but this doesn’t run through all of the book so I think it works, and even when it is dense the vibrance of the blue breaks is up and continues to make it aesthetically interesting.
