For the infographic I knew that I wanted to focus on one particular planet so that I could research more into a specific area. I chose Earth because of the vibrancy which I could use to contrast against all of the other elements in the infographic, but as well as knowing most about this planet. I continued to research for facts and interesting information about the planet as I was developing the infographic so that I could get as much done as possible. I continued with the same design from the website as I think the bold vector based imagery works extremely well and it will also make the infographic bold and recognisable, continually making it easily readable when it comes to the type.
As I wasn’t 100% certain on the information that was going to be displayed I began to develop the website using my prior knowledge of the planet. I didn’t want there to singularly be facts floating around the centred Earth as this wouldn’t work for my target audience and it wouldn’t look aesthetically pleasing. Therefore, I came up with the idea of dismantling the earth down to it’s layers as this would be informational and suitable for my audience. I placed this in the corner as I felt that this worked better than shifting the centred Earth as that connotes the subject matter of the infographic and it is also the first thing that your attention is drawn too. Moreover, the second Earth will have several shades of blue to represent the layers within the planet so that it would continue with the theme of simplicity and work in harmony with the rest of the visuals. Continually, I feel that the starry background portrays the direction of perspective that I am going for, along with giving it a bit of texture and depth which is better than having a flat background.
