As the desktop website had this navigation system that used the bold shapes of the solar system, I wanted to use this again in the smartphone version as this creates continuity too. But because this format is different, it means that I can’t have them changing to their textures when the cursor is hovered over them. Instead of this I will have them gradually changed once clicked on, as this is still interactive and it is combining all of the other elements to create perspective and an exciting layout/composition. There will be no words on this page as it is focused on the visuals and I like this because it is suitable for my target audience, as well as it being primarily focused on the planets in the centre of the page.
Smartphone Layout: Facts
These are the first pages for each of the planets which will display different facts. I have used the same colour schemes for each of the pages which are on the desktop version too, to create continuity and synergy between the two formats. I am really happy with how these have turned out because they are engaging and interesting for the audience, and by using shorter facts on this format it works better and is more suitable for all ages.
The layout of the pages was important to continue to make it interactive and not boring. I have placed the planets at the top of the page as this straight away creates an easy navigation and is informational to the audience. The short facts that are displayed are centred to emphasise them and draw focus to them. I have kept the shards around the edge as part of the interactivity and perspective, which also keeps the design continuous, and these will slightly change and adjust as the user scrolls through the facts.
In terms of navigation, the facts will changes with a swipe left or right. I think this is a simple format but it works for the audience and is still interactive because of all of the components. Apart from the facts that will change, I think it is important to have the composition changing, along with the shards moving (though not with the cursor as this format is different) so that it is constantly interactive and interesting to creatively display the information.
